SHEC LABS launches second Offering to fund construction
of its first Renewable Solar Hydrogen Production
Facility
SHEC LABS - Solar Hydrogen Energy Corporation ("SHEC LABS") is pleased
to announce the release of its second Private Placement Offering
Memorandum ("OM") in 2006.
The proceeds from this share offering are intended to be used primarily
to deploy the first phase of proposed SHEC Station #1, a Solar Hydrogen
Production Facility at the Fleet Street Landfill in Regina,
Saskatchewan, Canada. The first phase of this proposed facility will
include installing a gas collection and cleaning system to produce
green synthetic natural gas from the city's landfill and then to
further process this into hydrogen with the installation of SHEC LABS'
first 5 solar hydrogen production modules.
An expansion to 30 solar hydrogen production modules is planned in
subsequent years. As well, management of SHEC LABS expects the
Corporation will perform research and development of a "Direct Water
Splitting" technology at this proposed facility.
The proposed facility, once fully deployed, has the potential to prevent
more than 1.6 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent
(CO2e) from entering the atmosphere over a twenty year
period, improve local air quality and reduce smog. Theoretically, the
technology deployed at SHEC Station #1 by SHEC LABS can be reproduced
at thousands of landfill locations around the world and can be expanded
to apply not only to landfills, but also to biogas, flare gas and vent
gas from the oil and gas industry, stranded gas, coal bed methane and
natural gas.
This Private Placement Offering is being conducted in accordance with
the OM requirements of National Instrument 45-106 and is available to
most residents of Canada. SHEC LABS is offering 7,000,000 shares (Class
A common shares) to the public at $2.50 per share.
SHEC concluded its previous shares and warrants offering dated April 25,
2006 that was issued on May 5, 2006 and closed on October 24, 2006. A
total of 640,600 shares and 320,300 warrants we issued in 2006
inclusive of 116,800 shares and 58,400 warrants issued to accredited
investors prior to the offering release. The total proceeds raised by
the offering in 2006 amounted to $1,601,500.
