In the future, SHEC intends to use a wide variety of sources in their DFR process, including methane from a source such as biogas, landfill gas, flare gas, stranded gas and coal-bed methane.
The next generation of solar hydrogen involves direct water splitting with only water as the primary feed component. Six of the ten steps needed for this process are already integrated into the current DFR system.
